Tim Root, Chief Meteorologist for WeatherWatch Service, has been forecasting and broadcasting weather conditions for decades.
Believe it or not, Tim’s career began at the age of 15! Broadcasting for Sacred Heart University in the 1970s, he was the youngest weather broadcaster in New England!
As a keen Weather Observer for WEZN Radio in Connecticut, his opinions became so well regarded that he was soon promoted to Chief Meteorologist. Tim is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Association of Weathercasters, Tim was once voted by the public as the best Radio Weather Broadcaster in Connecticut.
Tim is based in Central Florida and utilizes all of the very latest technology.
Tim has been providing the Blue Water Weather Telephone Service daily forecast 365 days a year for the last seven years, not missing a single day.
While Tim will be missed, he has well earned his retirement.
